Scandinavian Philology has been in publication since 1961.
It is published by St Petersburg University Press.
Since 2016, the journal has had two editions per annum.
Scandinavian Philology is part of the bibliographic data base of the Russian Citation Index (ISSN 0202-2532)

Scandinavian Philology is an interdisciplinary periodic academic journal. Its goal is to inform the academic community about new developments in Scandinavian and Dutch Studies and invites contributions from Russia, Eastern and Northern Europe, and other parts of the world.
Scandinavian Philology is the only publication in Russia specialized in Scandinavian and Dutch Studies. As a platform for an open discussion of research in the field, the journal aims to connect scholars exploring different research avenues in Scandinavian and Dutch Studies and create a single academic space across various countries (see “Editorial Policy”).
Contributions should comply with submission guidelines (see “Submission Guidelines”)
All submissions undergo a double blind refereeing process (see “Reviewing Policy”).
Scandinavian Philology aims to become a leading journal in Scandinavian and Dutch Studies and receive indexation status in such scientific citation indexing services as Scopus, Emerging Source, Web of Science, Russian Science Citation Index, and ERIH +.
