Multiethnolects are specifi c varieties, which since 1980’s have been used by adolescents in Scandinavian multi-ethnic suburbs. Th e article gives a general overview of this phenomenon, its origins and previous investigations, and discusses the main linguistic features of Swedish multiethnolects.
