The article is dedicated to study the principle of “two-worldness” as it appears in the novel of a modern Scandinavian writer Beate Grimsrud “A Lunatic Freed”. This article aims to describe singularity and diversity of “two-worldness” in a postmodern text as well as analyze the different levels of the text: its story, composition and stylistics. The author gives attention to the Jungian approach in analysis of different subpersonalities of the main character along with the idea of creativity in the novel as a central structure both for the personality and for the analyzed text itself.
