DANISH PARTICLES AS MARKERS OF SPEAKER’S COMMUNICATIVE STRATEGIES

Compounding is a major word formation process in Danish. We argue that compounding has both specifi c and universal features in diff erent languages and that the role of compounding is often underestimated in the teaching of Danish for foreigners, especially for those from the Slavic countries. The set of guidelines is suggested to help Russian students with the creation and interpretation of Danish compounds.
