There is a large number of linguistic units in Danish whose main function is to denote quantity These units differ not only in terms of the denoted quantity, but also due to the extralinguistic factors that determine a speakers choice of particular means to express quantity. All the lexemes meaning “quantity” can be organized into a scale depending on the amount of the quantity they denote.
