The article aims to analyze one of the best works of Johannes V. Jensen, a Danish author who was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature. Several issues addressed to in the article are the historical background of the novel’s contents, the features distinguishing the author’s interpretation and the philosophical originality. The article debates novels contexture and the literary stylistics.
