The paper focuses on the specific of psychological analysis as an important component of H. Bang’s poetics. Danish writer creates a new type of short stories, where actions, thoughts and imaginations become the main means to
investigate the human psychology, to analyze hidden matter of circumstances. This type of short stories can be named “psychological short story”, and good examples of it are such texts as “Franz Pander”, “Les querte diables”, “Hendes højhed” and “Stærkest”.
