STRINDBERG’S MYTH IN WORKS OF PER OLOV ENQUIST

The article deals with the reception of August Strindbergs works In the writing of Per Olov Enquist within the (hematology approach. Especial attention is paid to the play “Tribadernas natt”, in which Strindberg is depicted as one of the characters. This work is considered to be the most important play in the middle of XX century. It was translated into more than 20 languages and was performed world-wide. The play created a great deal of controversy in Sweden over whether or not its suppos­edly realistic portrayal of Strindberg was accurate. Enquist used genre of historical drama in a manner of Strindberg, typical “strindbergian” motives are enriched by his own creative efforts.
