The article includes the analysis of Swedish regular comparisons which characterize the human body its height and size taking into account their Russian equivalents. The author describes etalons of comparisons, reveals ethno-cultural uniqueness of their semantics and usage according to dictionaries data, results of questionnaires of Swedish Language speakers and Swedish literary texts.
